Previously, Muslim never gets a chance to try Japanese product due to widely use of non-halal raw material. Muslim is minority in Japan and most of them are foreigners. That is one of the reasons why Japanese never get a chance to know deeply about Islam especially on halal. It is not just hard to find Halal Product in Japan, but most of the product in Japan contains alcohol and porcine derivatives.
Then, a few years ago we came up with an idea of Local Halal Standard. Instead of setup a fully Halal Factory, the Local Halal Standard seems easy to adapt by the Japanese. Our Local Halal Standard based on the Sharia (Islam law) and Food Safety (focusing on hygiene and quality), which adapting Malaysia Halal Certificate requirements to suit Japan environment as a non-Muslim country, in which it can be tolerate by Muslim traveler.
The standard is not something can be done lightly and easily. We have to take precautions from the selection of the raw material until the storing of finished product. Our Halal Product prepared by using segregated equipment and separate lines, to avoid any potential of cross contamination between Halal and non-Halal item. To ensure the Local Halal Standard been followed at all the time, we do random spot check to the factory. Moreover, Japanese are very popular to be discipline person.
Consequently, Muslim who comes and resides in Japan nowadays can buy Halal instant ramen, Halal beef and chicken sausage, Halal shoyu, and many Halal Japanese products.
